Wash hair well: It takes 15-30 minutes to get perfectly blow-dried hair, but the process must start with freshly-washed hair. After that, use a good styling product according to your hair type. The secret is to coat every strand of hair with the product, and finish by combing it through hair.
Separate hair: Use a dryer, or air dry to remove excess moisture, and then divide combed hair into sections. Secure with clips or ponytail holders. Leave out a section to start with.
Use your fingers: Run your fingers through hair, starting at the roots. Pull hair out by a few inches, and hold it while you use the dryer to shoot air crown downward. Hold the hair strands super taut, otherwise, moisture stays in the hair shaft and frizzes it up.
Move down: Use a round-barreled brush to blow-dry. Pull the brush through hair, pointing the nozzle downward onto hair (this helps deal with frizz). As you pull the brush through hair, follow the brush with the dryer.
Lock in style: The last step for each section is to pull hair taut with the brush and blast it with cool air from your dryer. Weigh down random frizzy bits with a shine serum or balm. Skip this step if you have limp, oily hair.
