Preeti S Kapoor of the Indian Fashion fraternity has crossed her fingers not for the upcoming fashion weeks but for the upcoming Venice film festival.
Not that she is walking the red carpet herself, but that the designer has put together an elaborate gown for the Bollywood actress Kalki of Dev D fame. It's Kalki who is walking the red carpet at the upcoming Venice film festival.
"My core area is Indian attire but I have done the gown for the first time exclusively for Kalki. I have given her a totally international look, it's a old French kind of look, with straight hair, minimal jewellery," says Preeti.
"The gown is in green colour topped with antique sequins and light, as she doesn't look nice in Indian wear and bright colours, so I have carefully chosen this colour for her," adds the designer.
Unlike other Bollywood celebs, Kalki has chosen an Indian designer to dress her up, which Preeti justifies, "I have always done clothes for her and she has even walked the ramp for me. Otherwise she is a very basic person and different from other Bollywood actors. I think that is why she has came to me."
Let's see if Kalki is able to steal the attention, the way Mallika did.
