Spanish actress Penelope Cruz has revealed that the dress she wore during the Oscars had been picked out eight years ago. Cruz, 34, said that the vintage Balmain gown she wore on February 22 had never been worn, and that she had kept it for a special occasion.

When Cruz arrived at the event, where she picked up her Best Supporting Actress award, she was seen wearing the 60-year-old dress. “I found this dress eight years ago and I was saving it for something very special,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
