Band Baaja Baarat star Ranveer Singh made his ramp debut on Saturday for designer duo Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna at Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2011. And although Ranveer felt the entire experience was “exhilarating”, he admits his personal style is very outrageous.

“I love fashion and clothes. But my definition of style is very different. You know, my family is never sure about my styling because my fashion sense is very outrageous and not conventional at all,” says Ranveer with a smile. “I like to wear nice clothes but I can never be a designer, I guess.”

But Ranveer is still on cloud nine about the experience. “Of course, it was a very exciting experience. For the first time, I understood what sharing a common make-up room felt like. Plus, wearing snazzy clothes and walking in front of hordes of people is completely exhilarating,” says the young actor.

Nervous model
Ask Ranveer if he felt nervous about the new stint and he says: “It was my first public appearance on the ramp, but I wasn’t exactly nervous. I would be happy if I managed to add any value to the clothes for the designers. And Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna have always been one of my favourites.”

These days, Ranveer is busy wrapping up his second film, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. “It has been a fantastic experience. Practically, the same team behind Band Baaja Baarat is working on the film. The film is very entertaining,” he says.

He and co-star Anushka have been heating up headlines for their constant ‘on-again, off-again’ relationship status but Ranveer focuses only on the professional sphere. “I have great chemistry with Anushka. After all, she is my first co-star. So, the kind of understanding and comfort level we have is amazing. And it really helps a lot when you are working together,” he says.
