Do you have a pear shaped body? Here's your style guide.

A sleek look: Try to emphasise your upper body and give your lower body a slimmer, sleeker look by wearing a colourful top, wide neck lines, accentuating your waist and wearing dark colours on the bottom.

The right cut: Choosing the right cuts can make a great deal of difference in how your body looks. A-line and flared skirts work best for those with a pear shaped body.

Printed tops: Stick to printed tops and darker, solid colours on the bottom for a slimmer look.

Avoid bottom hugging clothes: Avoid dresses that have a bias cut that hugs the bottom. They only draws more attention to your rear, and make you appear even fatter.

Go plain: Steer clear of trousers and skirts in bold patterns, large checks, heavy embellishments and light colours. They emphasise your lower body. So stick to dark colours and plain fabrics.

Wear a saree: A chiffon saree can work wonders for those who have a pear shaped body. It helps you show off your curves in the most glamourous way. Make sure that your saree is not too heavily embellished. Go for a plain chiffon saree with a nice border. Pair it up with a backless choli, a tube or a halter blouse.
