Suneet Varma has been signed by US luxury brand Judith Leiber to design Bollywood themed bags in Swarovski crystals for them.

US-based designer Anand Jon’s sister Sanjana showed at the WIFW amid much fanfare to gather support for her brother. Though she managed to get actors Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen as showstoppers, her shoddy collection left a lot to be desired. An HT City exclusive exposed that Sanjana has no formal training in fashion design and limited experience in the field.

Salman Khan’s Being Human foundation got the spotlight during the HDIL Couture Week in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Sohail Khan and Saif Ali Khan — everyone but SRK turned up. No one cared for the collection though!

Rohit Bal remained the eternal favourite with organisers as the Grand Finale designer. Bal certainly did it with panache, that too twice in a year — for DFW and WIFW.
