High on Creativity
Ekru by Ekta and Ruchira, Geisha Designs by Paras and Shalini, Jaya Rathore, Monapali, Satya Paul and Reynu Taandon are the six installation designers at the couture week.

“We’ve garments with elements of an installation. This time it is a tribute to fairytale romances,” says Paras Bairoliya of Geisha Designs. Through the set, he will try to bring alive the vintage era using wrought iron and bricks walls with mirrors. “After the installation, making a collection seems like an easier job,” adds Bairoliya.

Jaya Rathore is using the platform to experiment. She says, “I am creating a 3-D effect through play of shades on a lehenga that uses bouquets of roses and paisley.”

Using Indian embellishments in a futuristic way is Reynu Taandon’s installation. She says, “My installation uses elements of my garments displayed on the mannequin. It has types of nets and textured papers, thread reels and buttons.”
