33 ticket checkers deployed

In a move to catch commuters who travel without tickets, the city transport department has deployed 33 ticket checkers on four bus routes. HT reports.

In a move to catch commuters who travel without tickets, the city transport department has deployed 33 ticket checkers on four bus routes. The department has collected penalty amounting to Rs 25000 from such offenders in the last 15 days. Around 20-25 offenders are caught every day by the department. The new city bus service was launched on May 12 this month.
