The senior town planner (STP) has directed the developer of The Close North, situated in Sector 50’s Nirvana Country, to hand over the maintenance of the upscale condominium to its RWA.

The condominium houses more than 600 families. The direction is the latest in a series of transfer of societies’ management to resident associations in the Millennium City.
In a meeting held between STP RK Singh, apartment owners’ association representatives (AoA) and senior officials of Unitech, the developer was directed to transfer the maintenance of 10 towers of the complex by May 15.
“The builder has also been asked to transfer all the common facilities such as the club and shopping centre to the apartment owners’ association. The maintenance of the remaining six towers will be transferred to TCN AoA (The Close North apartment owners association) in June,” Singh said.
STP has also called a meeting of the builder and AoA representatives to ensure compliance of the order. “It is a victory for the residents who have been demanding transfer of the complex’s management for better facilities,” said Saurabh Shukla, president, TCN AoA.
