The Haryana government had recently cancelled the licences of Mayfield Garden and AJS Group (at Sector 62).

In February this year, the Director General, Town and Country Planning (DG-TCP) charged Mayfield Gardens with non-payment of licence renewal fee, outstanding external development charges, absence of adequate number of community buildings and ill-maintenance of the colony.

A public notice had been issued by the DG-TCP stating the administration of the colony had been taken over by senior town planner (STP), Gurgaon, RK Singh, for all purposes, on behalf of the DG TCP.

The general public had been advised not to enter into any kind of transaction with the developers of Mayfield Gardens in respect of new properties and sold properties.

The pending installment payable to the licensee companies or their authorised companies had to be henceforth paid to the DG-TCP, the notice said.

Similarly, the DG-TCP in June this year cancelled the licence of AJS Group due to non-payment of licence renewal fee other discrepancies resulting into a big worry for the buyers who had invested their savings for flats at Sector 62.

"The two builders had defaulted on bills. Hence, their licences were cancelled. An inquiry had been set up to investigate the matter," said STP RK Singh.

AJS had launched its Gurgaon-based project, Hill View Apartment, at Sector 62 in 2007 where nearly 500 buyers invested their hard-earned money.
