Alleging police inaction, bus drivers blocked MG Road and parked their vehicles outside the city police station in protest.

The police team reached the spot and convinced the bus drivers to end the protest and clear the road.

According to the police, “Passengers who were already sitting in autos rushed as soon as the buses arrived. The auto drivers then picked up a fight with the bus drivers and conductors and assaulted them.”

Leader of the autorickshaw union was also called to resolve the matter.

Inspector Rajender Singh, SHO of the city police station, said, “We have given two days to both parties and if union members of Haryana Roadways are still not satisfied, we will register a case against the auto drivers.”

Yashender Singh, general manager of Haryana Roadways (Gurgaon) said, “We want action by the police as our men often are assaulted by auto drivers and we cannot let it go each time. Investigation in the case is required.”
