Bullet-riddled bodies of woman, teen found in Manesar near Gurgaon

Bodies of a woman and a teenaged girl were on Monday morning found at a vacant plot off National Highway-8 near Industrial Model Township (IMT), Manesar, 20 km from Gurgaon.

Though the identities of the two are yet to be ascertained, chances are that they were mother and daughter, police said. The woman seems to be 35 years old while the girl appears to be 15 years old, they said.

The bodies have bullet injuries and strangulation marks on their necks. While the woman had a bullet injury each on the face and below the chest, the girl had one gunshot injury below the chest, according to police.

The bodies were spotted lying in the plot, part of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation limited campus by employees of a nearby fire station around 5am. They alerted police and a team from the Manesar police station rushed to the spot.

Police said they found fresh tyre marks near the bodies, which were lying at a distance of nearly 8 feet from each other, indicate that the victims were dropped from the opposite sides of a car in the wee hours of Monday.

“The condition of the bodies indicate that they were killed somewhere else and dropped in the deserted plot,” said assistant sub inspector Devender Kumar, the investigation officer.

Police have lodged an FIR against unknown persons under Sections 302 (murder), 201 (concealing evidence) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections of the Arms Act at the Manesar police station.

The bodies have been sent to the mortuary in Gurgaon. Police said they will wait for someone to claim them for at least 72 hours before stating the post mortem formalities.

“They look like mother and daughter. But we can confirm it only after post mortem. We have sent teams to neighbouring areas and have also sent out a message to trace the killers,” said assistant commissioner of police, (ACP), Manesar, Dharamveer Singh.
