Constable arrested for molesting minor

A 30-year-old constable, who was booked for molesting a 15-year-old girl at her residence in Baldev Nagar area today has been arrested.

A 30-year-old constable, who was booked for molesting a 15-year-old girl at her residence in Baldev Nagar area on Thursday has been arrested.

The girl lodged a complaint with the Pataudi road police station after which the Gurgaon police arrested Sunil Kumar.

Kumar will be produced in court on Friday. The police are investigating as to how the girl got in touch with Kumar and what he was doing at her residence.

In a separate incident, a 28-year-old businessman was shot at by his brothers-in-law on Thursday. The victim suffered stomach injuries. The police have filed a complaint against the victim’s in-laws.

The accused have been identified as Rohit and Ajju. According to the police, victim Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Delhi, runs a garment shop at Raga Bazaar, Sector 4. In 2007, he had married Raju from Rajiv Nagar against his family’s wish.

“The couple had an estranged relationship after the birth of their daughter and Raju separated from Mukesh. On Thursday, when Mukesh went to sort out differences with his wife, he was shot at,” said ASI Sukendra Kumar.
