He said this while presiding over a meeting of district officers on Tuesday.

The district has been notified as a zone, where commercial exploitation of groundwater has been restricted by the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA).

The DC has been appointed as its nodal authority.

Meena will form a team of officials, who will conduct inspections and seal illegally operating borewells in the city, after it gets a report from the Huda.

The DC said borewells used for construction and commercial purposes can be sealed. HTC
