Engineer ends life by hanging

A 29-year-old private firm engineer allegedly committed suicide at his rented accommodation in Sector 57 on Sunday.

A 29-year-old private firm engineer allegedly committed suicide at his rented accommodation in Sector 57 on Sunday. The victim, Rakesh Mittal, has left a suicide note, which says, “No one is responsible for my death. I am sorry to end my life. Please forgive me”. The family has handed over the letter to the police.

According to the family the victim had been undergoing treatment for depression for the past eight months in Delhi. The body was handed to the family after postmortem.

Mittal, hailed from Kurukshetra and worked with Agilent Technologies Pvt Ltd in Manesar as an application support engineer.

Around 5pm he asked his parents not to disturb him, as he would be doing meditation in his room. After an hour when his parents did not hear any sound from the room they knocked the door, but did not get a reply. The door was broke open and Mittal was found hanging.
