So far, police have only questioned few people in the society. The CCTV footage, if any, of the incident or the accused are still unavailable.

“We have questioned five suspects. We have not reached any conclusion yet. The investigation is on,” said Narendra Kumar, station house officer of Sector 56 police station where the case is lodged.

“We are trying to obtain some CCTV footages. We hope we will get them,” he said.

The woman lived in flat number 107 on the first floor of Brothers Apartment with her son, daughter-in-law and their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

“The attackers entered the society from the main gate where guards were present during the day. Somebody known to the family is behind the incident,” they said.

Based on the family’s complaint, policemen at the Sector 56 station lodged a case of murder (Section 302), robbery (Section 392) and house trespassing (Section 452) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the unknown accused.
