Gurgaon: Three killed in separate hit and run incidents

All the three were travelling on their motorcycles and suffered fatal injuries after their bikes were hit by speeding vehicles.

All the three were travelling on their motorcycles and suffered fatal injuries after their bikes were hit by speeding vehicles.

In the first instance, Karan Rajbhar, a resident of Ghazipur in UP, who was on his bike, was hit by a vehicle near Hamilton Court in Sector 29 Gurgaon around 2pm. The impact of the accident was such that Rajbhar suffered fatal injuries.

The police have registered a case under sections 279 and 304 of the IPC at DLF police station.

In another incident, a motorcycle driven by Vijay Singh, a resident of village Lokra, was hit by a vehicle in Bhokarka Morh in Pataudi. A case under sections 279 and 304A of the IPC was registered at Pataudi police station.

A police officer said a case has been registered on the complaint of Khushi Ram, Singh’s father, against unidentified persons and the matter is being investigated.

There has been a steep rise in hit and run accidents in Gurgaon over the past few months.

To curb such incidents, the Gurgaon police had identified 10 spots which see the maximum number of fatalities and asked the civic agencies to improve the road conditions and safety measures to curb accidents.
