The Haryana Backward Classes Commission (HBCC) will conduct a public hearing regarding alterations in the backward classes list, in Gurgaon on Monday. The hearing will take place at the PWD (B&R) rest house from 11 am to 2 pm.

A spokesperson of the district administration said on Sunday that the HBCC officials would hear representations, objections, suggestions, views and opinions regarding this matter. Pleas by organisations, groups and individuals of the Goswami, Gosain, Muslim Jat and Gayana castes for inclusion in the state list of backward classes would also be heard by the commission, it was learnt.
Asking all concerned people who want to appear before the HBCC to reach the venue with all relevant documents, the spokesperson said: “As per the schedule issued by the secretary of HBCC, RS Verma, the commission will hold a similar hearing in Faridabad on Tuesday, for which the venue is the PWD rest house in Faridabad.”
