A 75-year-old retired IAS officer is hit by a vehicle on the busy Sohna Road. To fend off the mob, the driver promises to take the injured man to hospital but dumps him in a village. Some villagers see an old man lying unconscious. Rush him to a hospital where he is pronounced dead.

This callousness played out in the Millennium City on Saturday evening.
At around 7.30pm, Harish Khanduri, a resident of the tony Central Park 2 on the Sohna Road, was out shopping at the nearby Raheja Mall.
While crossing the road, a car hit him from behind, said a police officer. When some passersby gathered, the driver, yet to be identified, told the crowd that he would rush Khanduri, who was bleeding, to a hospital, the officer said. He put Khanduri in the car and sped towards Badshahpur village, which is
2 km from the accident spot.
At around 11.30pm, some Badshahpur residents found Khanduri, who lived with his daughter and son-in-law, lying unconscious and informed the police. He was rushed to a private hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police found an I-card on Khanduri and informed the family.
