A 24-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a 29-year-old acquaintance at her house in Manesar’s Kukrola village last week. Police said the suspect was on the run and that they were conducting raids to arrest him.

According to the police, the incident took place on April 26 around 3pm when the woman, a homemaker, was alone at her house. The victim said she knew the man as he had helped her sister get a job last year, police said.
Satender, station house officer (SHO), Manesar police station, said the woman’s husband was out for work at the time of the incident.
“She said that the suspect had told her that he wanted to discuss a job-related matter with her and came to her house. He then allegedly forced himself on her and fled. The woman reported the incident to the police in the evening,” SHO Satender said.
Police said the suspect works at a private company in Sector 3, IMT-Manesar, but has been missing since the incident.
A case was registered against the suspect on Thursday.
