The joint commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), Veena Hooda, said that the civic body has declared a mobile tower in Harinagar, belonging to Reliance Infratel Limited, illegal.
Addressing one of the complaints at a district grievances committee meeting on Friday, she said that proceedings had been initiated for the tower’s removal or sealing. Hooda added that Reliance Infratel had earlier sought the MCG commissioner’s permission for setting up the tower, which was rejected.
A complainant from Harinagar alleged that the tower was installed illegally. She also said the tower emits radiations and requested removal of the tower from the neighbourhood.
While addressing a different issue, chief parliamentary secretary Kumari Sharda Rathore instructed Huda to issue occupation certificates for Peach Jasmine Cooperative Group Housing Society in Sector 31.
