A technical institute, which will impart training in mining and allied sectors in simulated conditions, was launched at Sector 34 on Tuesday.

The Institute of Natural Resources that will run in collaboration with an Australia-based institute was inaugurated by former Australian cricketer Steve Waugh.
"Local youths will benefit from the training centre. After completing a course from here, they can apply for jobs even in abroad," he said.
The institute will cater to the demands of trained and certified miners. "We will provide a comprehensive end-to-end solution from training to job placement, ensuring that trainees gain skills that are in demand and the organizations get skilled employees to meet the industry's growing demand," said KB Trehan, director of the institute.
The institute has been launched by the Indian Institute of Skill Development (IISD), which has multiple centres across India.
