More than 60 students of the Shiva Nadar School in Gurgaon were taken ill on Friday after eating the meals provided by the school during the day on Thursday. The students complained of nausea, vomiting and high fever after having the meal.

The students fell sick on Thursday night and did not attend school on Friday. Many of those who went to attend the classes developed similar symptons and had to be taken to the school's medical room.
"I had very high fever and have been vomiting, even my younger brother who studies in the school is suffering from the same," a student of Class 9 said. "Yesterday (Thursday), for breakfast, we were served sandwiches which were smelling foul and even lunch wasn't up to the mark," she added.
A large number of parents came to the school to meet authorities or take their children home.
"I'm very worried about my child. This is a well reputed school, we don't expect this from them," said a parent of a class 1 student.
The school authorities have said they are still looking in the matter.
