A day after people protested at the Gurgaon-Faridabad Expressway for rise in number of accidents on the stretch, Commissioner of Police Alok Mittal and Gurgaon traffic officials visited the site.

Mittal went to the area along with DLF City Residents’ Welfare Association members, where the residents had constructed two speed breakers in front of the Qutab Plaza Gate to stop speeding vehicles. Now, one of the speed breakers will have to be removed.
“The commissioner had not seen the site earlier. Although he appreciated people’s initiative in constructing speed breakers to curb accidents on the Expressway, he said two speed breakers parallel to each other will obstruct movement of vehicles with low body,” said Sudhir Kapoor, Secretary, DLF City, RWA.
Kapoor also said, “HUDA administrator Praveen Kumar promised the residents that traffic lights will be put up outside the Qutab Plaza Gate by Monday. Street lights will also be installed on the stretch but will take at least three months.”
