The delay will affect around 30,000 beneficiaries of the area.

In a letter to the Huda’s estate officer-1, Gurgaon, dated February 21, the Huda chief administrator requested for a two-year extension. “The construction of the dispensary was completed seven months ago. But Huda has not handed over the completion certificate. They have been citing vague reasons like the positioning of the fire brigade tank,” said Dr DR Dey, the consultant of this project.

“There must be something that has been left out because of which the completion certificate has not been issued yet. I will check and follow up on the matter soon,” said Huda administrator Praveen Kumar.

The CGHS now will have to pay Huda the current price of the plot minus the price already paid. Earlier too, Huda had applied for an extension in December 2012 at the cost of over R3 lakh. The reason given then was that laying the sewer and water connections would take extra time.

Once this unit is ready, the 20-year-old Jacobpura dispensary will shift here. It will provide referral services, consultation, testing, Ayurveda services and free medicines.
