“It was a cold morning and I had to take out my son’s winter uniform as he was feeling chilly once he got out of bed,” said Neha Singh, a resident of Nirvana Country, Sector 50.

Archana Singh, a resident of Sohna Road, said, “I had planned to take out the woollens after November 5, but it seems winter has come knocking and I have taken out all my winter clothes and blankets for dry-cleaning.”

Roadside vendors have started selling tea, groundnuts, boiled egg and soup, some of the condiments that herald in the cold season in the NCR.

“The demand for boiled eggs, soup and tea will increase. We will have to extend our timings as people sit for a longer period during lunch breaks and after office,” said Mahesh Kumar, a tea vendor in Sector 30.
