Hike in liquor licence fee for bars part of new Haryana excise policy

Haryana government increases liquor licence fee to ₹20 lakh per annum, restricts bars and pubs to operate only till midnight, impacting consumers and businesses.

Haryana’s new excise policy sets fixed prices to curb unfair competition among liquor vends

Starting June 12, the prices of liquor will be standardised across all outlets. MRP will be set for imported liquor to tackle unhealthy competition among liquor vends that enticed customers with discounts and other unfair means, officials said.

Alcohol prices set to rise under new Haryana excise policy

The new excise regime will bring the Haryana government an estimated increase in revenue of around ₹250 crore.
