There was resentment among the residents of Gurgaon One, a residential complex on Gurgaon-Delhi road, near Palam Vihar as the MCG had failed time and again to provide a solution to the issue of sewage overflowing outside the gate.

The problem was persisting for the last one month and Hindustan Times reported on the matter in its Tuesday edition.

The residents were more worried as the monsoon is here and the problem had increased manifold leading to the spreading of water-borne diseases.

The condition of the road, which has already suffered plenty of wear and tear, was getting worse due to the sewage spill.

Dr. Santosh Pande, secretary, Gurgaon One RWA, said, “It is heartening to see the quick reaction from the MCG to the problems highlighted in the newspaper report.”

The residents said they hope that the waterlogging problem in front of Gurgaon One will be tackled comprehensively and conclusively.

The sewage lines were choked on the stretch and desilting was not done for the last many years leading to a backflow on the stretch near the residential areas.
