Seven persons have been booked for duping a city-based doctor of Rs. 3.46 lakh last year, the police said on Wednesday. A case was registered at the Civil Lines police station following a court order.

The victim, Dr Rajeev Bhatia, approached the court after the police refused to lodge his complaint against seven officials of a generator manufacturing firm.
Bhatia, a resident of Sushant Lok 1, who runs a clinic at Radha Palace in Old Gurgaon, had alleged that the accused did not give him a generator set even though he paid the cost of the equipment in October last year.
According to the police, the deal was closed at Rs. 3.46 lakh. The victim paid Rs. 35,000 through a cheque and rest Rs. 3.11 lakh financed from a bank.
The case was registered against the firm's managing director Sudhir Seth, directors Vishal Bakshi, Rahul Seth , Pankaj Singh, NK Teresal and sales executives Arvind Rawat and Sudhir Kumar. “We are conducting raids to nab them,” said Naresh Kumar, SHO.
