As the Harry Potter series veers towards an end, this featurette showcases the Potter mania that captured the imagination of viewers over past decade. The much-anticipated last installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will hit the screens on July 15.
The featurette footage opens on the first screen test of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as children auditioning together and shows how the actors have grown up onscreen across the eight film adaptations of JK Rowling's book phenomenon.
Excerpts from previous films begin with 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when Hagrid announced to young Harry that he was a wizard and include Harry's many adventures with his friends Hermione and Ron.
The epic battle between good and evil in the wizarding world is completed with this last film and the ultimate showdown between Harry and Lord Voldemort.
The final film costars Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange, Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy, Alan Rickman as Severus Snape, Michael Gambon as Dumbledore, plus Jim Broadbent, Robbie Coltrane, John Hurt, Gary Oldman, Maggie Smith, Emma Thompson and more.
