James Foley, director of Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, says that virtual reality will be incorporated into the marketing for the latest movie sequel.

While early September brought the tantalizing first look at the drama starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, soon audiences will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with their most intimate moments.

Foley confirmed the experience during a VR on the Lot conversation in California, reported Deadline.

“My own personal instinct is that cinema is going to move to VR because it’s an extension of the visual language. For myself, watching the material they generated expanded my brain,” he said.

“Fifty Shades Darker returns to the big screen ahead of Valentine’s Day 2017.
