Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy) will be directing the first chapter of the passionate relationship between Anastasia Steele, sweet and innocent college graduate, and Christian Grey, billionaire and fan of S&M.
Rumors about the cast for, Fifty Shades of Grey, have been rampant. Names including Emma Watson, Alex Pettyfer, Robert Pattinson and Aaron Taylor-Johnson- the director's husband-have all passed through the rumor mill.
The film is scheduled to start shooting at the end of 2013, with scriptwriting still in progress.
Published in 2011, this three-part saga, Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, sold more than 70 million books (paper and digital) throughout the world.
