In pics: When Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and their kids came to India in 2006

Before Brad Pitt’s tell-all interview to GQ Style in which he spoke for the first time about his separation from Angelina Jolie, he was one half of the most famous movie couple in the world. In 2006, they took a trip to India. Here are 9 images.

The last seven months have been a turbulent time for both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The Hollywood couple abruptly ended their relationship in September 2016, after Jolie filed for divorce following an altercation Pitt allegedly had with their son Maddox.

But before the FBI and Child Services were called in to investigate the incident (Pitt was cleared), before rumours of his link-up with his Allied co-star Marion Cotillard, and before his tell-all interview with GQ Style published this week, the Jolie-Pitt were an ideal couple.

They are parents to six children - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne - and are involved in several causes - Jolie is a UN ambassador and humanitarian.

And in 2006, just a year into their 11-year-romance, the couple flew to India where Jolie was filming A Mighty Heart. It was also during this time that she adopted Zahara.
