Playing one of the leads in X-Men: First Class has clearly drained out Scottish actor James McAvoy (above), who now plans to take things slow after the release of the film.

“I’ll be doing something smaller, but I don’t know what that will be yet. It won’t be for a little while. I might do some theatre or something like that,” says the actor, who plays Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men reboot that hits Indian screens today in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
“There are a couple of movies in the pipeline for the second half of the next year, but not solidified yet, so I can't really say what,” he says. McAvoy reveals he was first introduced to the series at the age of 12 and to being something of a geek, which makes this a
perfect role for him.
“X-Men movies are largely about people who feel like outsiders and who have a certain amount of self-loathing. They are afraid of themselves and want to be normal. I think that’s one of the key elements,” he says.
