Leonardo DiCaprio is a real life Revenant, pays $95,000 for expedition

The Revenant star Leonardo DiCaprio has paid $95,000 to go on an expedition with Swedish explorer Johan Ernst Nilson to Mongolia channelling some of the wilderness skills of his character Hugh Glass.

The Revenant star Leonardo DiCaprio has paid $95,000 to go on an expedition with Swedish explorer Johan Ernst Nilson to Mongolia channelling some of the wilderness skills of his character Hugh Glass.

The 41-year-old actor is set to test his wilderness skills in a real-life setting when he embarks on the 10-day journey to Lake Hovsgol, reported New York Post.

DiCaprio will leave the trappings of Hollywood behind as he sleeps in a yurt and goes hunting with falcons, although he will be accompanied by a chef on the trip.

DiCaprio is up for an Oscar on February 28th for his role in the epic survival saga The Revenant.
