The long-rumoured extended edition of Ridley Scott and Matt Damon’s The Martian is really happening and is coming very soon.
According to The Digital Bits, Australian retailer EzyDVD recently listed The Martian: Extended Edition for a release on June 8.

Directed by Ridley Scott, The Martian was based on Andy Weir’s 2011 book of the same title. It centers on Matt Damon’s Mark Watney, an astronaut who’s presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive.
