Vin Diesel has offered a symbolic olive branch to Dwayne Johnson on The Rock’s 45th birthday, after their much-publicised feud during the production of their film The Fate of the Furious.
Diesel posted a picture on Instagram on Wednesday which shows the two actors in conversation.
He captioned the image, “To look back at what we have accomplished. Shoulder to shoulder, against impossible odds. Proud...Happy Birthday Hobbs...”
The carefully worded message makes no reference to the feud, which, according to The Wrap, included tension on set, a reported separation during the Universal film’s press tour and the axing of an entire scene that offended Diesel.
“I don’t think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way,” Diesel told USA Today in April. “I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne.”
