The King’s Speech will hit the Broadway in 2012. Screenwriter David Seidler originally wrote the period piece as a play and now it will go to theatre in the fall of 2012, reports Hollywood News online.

The film will open at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theater. The play will then move to London’s West End in March 2012 before heading for Broadway at the end of the year.
