The little blue Belgian guys are not done yet. Having rocked the box office with their first outing, The Smurfs, they could return to the big screen with a sequel.

“Hopefully, it (the sequel) would be in the summer of 2013. Six months ago, they (Sony Pictures Animation) saw it (The Smurfs) and liked it. They ordered a screenplay for the next, so we’re in the midst of that,” said producer Jordan Kerner during the movie’s promotion in Mexico.
