The next big film in the X-Men continuity for Fox will be X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and anticipation has been really high for the project ever since it was announced. There have been rumours and speculations about who would or wouldn’t make the cut for the movie as contracts of actors Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), and Nicholas Hoult (Beast) expired with the last outing — X-Men: Apocalypse. But, a recent reveal promises the return of Micheal Fassbender as the much -loved mutant, Magneto.
The actor recently spoke to MTV‘s Josh Horowitz during the Happy Sad Confused podcast and that is when Horowitz shared the tease indicating where Fassbender’s future in the X-Men universe leads. Horowitz mentioned in a tweet that the actor will return for Dark Phoenix, but not for New Mutants.
