Two militants killed, one arrested in encounter in J-K’s Kulgam

The operation which started late last night was called off after the killings.

Two militants were killed on Monday in an operation by security forces in Rudwani area of Kulgam in south Kashmir.

According to a police spokesman based in Srinagar, the operation was jointly carried out by Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police. (PTI)

Security forces also arrested one militant. According to army spokesman two weapons have also been recovered in the area.

Confirming the killing, Army’s Northern Command in Udhampur said, “Two militants were killed in an encounter with police army and CRPF in Khudwani, Kulgam. One arrested. Weapons recovered.”
