9 dead, 12 injured as bus collides with tempo traveller in Assam’s Sivasagar

The head on collision between the two vehicles happened at around 8.45 am in Thowra Dol area of Sivasagar in Upper Assam, superintendent of police Amitava Sinha said.

At least nine people were killed and 12 others sustained injuries as a bus collided with tempo traveller in Assam’s Sivasagar district on Monday.

The head on collision between the two vehicles happened at around 8.45 am in Thowra Dol area of Sivasagar in Upper Assam, superintendent of police Amitava Sinha said.

The tempo traveller was coming from Dibrugarh while the bus was on its way to Dibrugarh from Golaghat.

Police said most of the injured have been sent to Assam Medical College and Hospital in the neighbouring Dibrugarh district.
