    • Earlier today, G20 Sherpa and former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant spoke at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and pushed for a framework of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Kant warned that the current wave of massive AI investments could result in a “highly inequal society” if the technology remains concentrated in the hands of a few.

    • Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the ongoing India AI Impact Expo 2026 as a powerful convergence of “ideas, innovation and intent.” “…It reaffirmed our commitment to harnessing AI responsibly, inclusively and at scale for human progress,” PM Modi said.

    • Bihar deputy CM Samrat Choudhary said the state is leveraging artificial intelligence to contribute to the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’. Choudhary, along with Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan, JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha and Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal, visited the Bihar pavilion at the summit venue.

    AI Summit 2026 LIVE updates Day 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen trying out a futuristic, spectacles-like AI device at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026, a gadget that looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.

    The device, called ‘Sarvam Kaze’, is an indigenous AI-powered wearable that doesn’t just sit on your face — it listens, understands, responds, and literally sees the world through your eyes. Developed by Sarvam AI, one of 12 indigenous AI models created for India-specific use cases, the device also allows users to build custom experiences via the Sarvam platform.

    During the official inauguration of the India AI Impact Expo 2026 on Monday evening, PM Modi wore the device while walking through the expo floor, testing its real-time response capabilities. The high-tech walkthrough was captured and shared on X by Pratyush Kumar, Co-Founder of Sarvam AI, who captioned the post: “The first person to try them? The Prime Minister.”

    Kumar also announced that the India-designed and India-built Sarvam Kaze, fitted with AI developed in India, will be available in the market starting this May.
