"I think he (PM Modi) is thinking about it (Space) the right way. Space does many things for you, but some are very short-term. Everyday navigation systems, disaster relief, using the images from space to doing public policy, or to doing urban planning, or to doing infrastructures. So that's step one, and that's what he's focused on," Thomas Pesquet said while speaking to ANI.
"The next step is to do more like exploration, go further and deeper into space and look at deeper, meaningful questions,” Presquet said.

The Chandrayaan-3 that aims for a soft landing on the moon's surface, paving the way for future interplanetary missions, carries six payloads that would help ISRO understand the lunar soil and also get the blue planet's photographs from the lunar orbit.
The payloads, which include RAMBHA and ILSA, would perform a series of path-breaking experiments during the 14-day mission. They would study the moon's atmosphere and dig the surface to understand its mineral composition.

L110 Ignition - L110 engines ignited at 108 seconds.
2xS200 Separation - Two side boosters (2xS200) detached at 127 seconds.
PLF Separation - Payload fairing separated at 195 seconds.
L110 Separation - L110 engines separated at 306 seconds.
C25 Ignition - C25 engine ignited at 308 seconds.
C25 Shut-off - C25 engine was shut down at 954 seconds.
Satellite Separation - The satellite separated from the rocket at 969 seconds.
Voyage to the moon - The module will travel for about a month to reach the moon after it is launched.
Moon landing - The landing is planned for August 23 at 5:47pm, but this could change based on the moon's sunrise. If there's a delay, ISRO will reschedule the landing for September.
Lander and rover mission life - The lander and rover are designed to function for just one lunar day (14 earth days) because they can't withstand the extreme cold at night. Therefore, they need to land at dawn to maximise their operational time.

Chandrayaan-3, India's third lunar mission, launched
The wait is over as the GSLV Mark 3 (LVM 3) heavy-lift launch vehicle lifted off successfully from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota as per the scheduled launch time.
The journey from Earth to the moon for the spacecraft is estimated to take about a month and the landing is expected on August 23. Upon landing, it will operate for one lunar day, which is approximately 14 Earth days. One day on the Moon is equal to 14 days on Earth.
