Multiple teams conducted searches in various cities, in which, about 100 sleuths and police personnel were involved.

Detectives recovered Rs 10 lakh cash in new currency from premises of a doctor in Kolkata and an assortment of foreign currency worth Rs 4 lakh from the same area.

The ED enforces two laws - the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
