Fog in Delhi: 12 trains in north India cancelled, 81 others delayed

The minimum temperature settled at 12.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal while the maximum was pegged at 26.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.

Foggy weather condition persisted in the national capital on Saturday disrupting rail traffic, with 12 trains including Patna Rajdhani Express getting cancelled.

Besides, 81 Delhi-bound trains were running behind schedule, ranging 4-10 hours, and 40 trains were rescheduled, a senior railway official said.

The minimum temperature settled at 12.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal while the maximum was pegged at 26.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.

The relative humidity level oscillated between 31 and 98%, a MeT Department official said.

Air traffic was affected in the morning, but airport officials attributed it to operational delay.

“Patna Rajdhani Express was among the 12 trains cancelled due to the foggy weather conditions,” the railway official said.

The weatherman has forecast clear sky and shallow fog in the morning.

The maximum and minimum temperatures for Sunday are likely to hover around 25 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.
