IndiGo flight status highlights: The ninth consecutive day of the IndiGo disruptions witnessed nearly 220 flight cancellations, with Delhi and Bengaluru being among the worst-hit cities. Parallely, the Delhi high court on Wednesday heard a plea filed regarding the ongoing crisis and raised concerns over the Centre's delayed action. The civil aviation ministry had on Tuesday directed IndiGo to curtail its operations in the winter schedule by 10 per cent. Aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu, however, clarified that while the operations will be cut, the airline is required to continue covering all its destinations as before.
Despite IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers assuring on Tuesday that the airline's operations are back on its feet and are stable, flight cancellations have continued on Wednesday as well.
What Delhi HC said on IndiGo crisis
Reacting to the mass flight cancellations, the Delhi High Court noted that they caused inconvenience to passengers as they were made to deboard and were stranded at airports. The court also asked the government why it “allowed” the situation to take place. “You allowed the situation to precipitate and only then did you take action. Why did you allow all this to happen?," the Delhi HC bench was quoted as saying by Bar and Bench.
The court also took note of the huge surge in airfares by other airlines and asked the government how other operators could take advantage of the crisis.
How many flight cancelled so far?
Since last Tuesday, over 4,600 IndiGo flights have been cancelled. A look at the numbers:

Wednesday, Dec 3: Nearly 200 cancellations
Thursday, Dec 4: Over 300 cancellations
Friday, Dec 5: Around 1,600 cancelled
Saturday, Dec 6: Around 850 cancelled
Sunday, Dec 7: Around 650 flights cancelled
Monday, Dec 8: Over 500 cancellations
Tuesday, Dec 9: Over 400 cancellations
Wednesday, December 10: Nearly 220 cancellations
Passengers remain stranded
Early morning visuals from some Indian airports, including Delhi and Ahmedabad, showed passengers waiting amid flight disruptions and cancellations. Over 400 flights were cancelled a day before, with Delhi and Bengaluru among the most hit with 100+ cancellations each.
IndiGo has assured that its operations are stabilising, given the cancellations figures over the last few days.
