Four people including the teenage daughter of Jharkhand’s rural development minister Deepika Pandey Singh were killed in a road accident in Jamshedpur on Thursday.

People aware of the developments said the accident occurred on Marine drive in Jamshedpur when the car, the victims were travelling in, rammed a parked commercial truck on the road from behind at around 3am.
Expressing grief over the incident, chief minister Hemant Soren said he was “deeply distressed and heartbroken by the news of the tragic road accident on the National Highway in Jamshedpur, which claimed the lives of the daughter of Deepika Pandey Singh, as well as others”.
“The grief of losing a child is indescribable and unbearable for any parent or family. In this incredibly difficult time, my deepest condolences go out to sister Deepika and the bereaved families. There are no words to express the magnitude of this irreparable loss. May Marang Buru grant peace to the departed souls and give the bereaved families the strength to bear this immense sorrow,” Soren added in a social media post.
