Man kills pregnant wife with an axe doubting her fidelity
While having a heated argument with his wife, Pramod allegedly attacked Seema with an axe. Neighbours rushed her to a hospital where she was declared dead.
A pregnant woman was allegedly beheaded on Sunday by her alcoholic husband who suspected her character in Kosdani village of the district, the police said.
The incident took place in the morning when Pramod Pawar had a heated argument with his wife Seema at their hut, they said. Both Pramod and Seema are in their late 30s.
In a fit of rage, Pawar allegedly attacked Seema with an axe, the police said.
On hearing her cries, neighbours rushed Seema to a local hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police have registered a case of murder against the accused and have launched a search to arrest him.
According to the police, Pramod was a drunkard and did odd jobs for living.
During an argument, he questioned the fidelity of his wife who was expecting, an official at Arni police station said.
