A medium intensity earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale hit India-Bangladesh border region on Friday with its epicenter in Meghalaya.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the quake occurred at 6:34 PM at a depth of 10 km.
The Northeast region is known to be a high seismic zone.
